Minor street flooding has been reported on the east side of Carson City this afternoon as a band of thunderstorms went through town.

A series of about three storm bursts went through town and have since tapered off. Road crews are now clearing debris from storm drains along Saliman Road and Fairview. About a half inch of rain fell during the course of the latest thunderstorm, according to www.carsonweather.com. Nearly one inch has fallen throughout the day.

Clogged storm drains caused some localized flooding in neighborhoods near Carson High School up to Fairview. The power has flickered some but no serious outages have been reported.

Carson City paramedics responded to a single-vehicle accident near the freeway on-ramp, where a car lost control and went into the median. The driver apparently suffered a cut from broken glass. Weather conditions at the time of the accident, which happened at around 4 p.m., was heavy rain.
