Gaming revenue in the Carson City area continued to see signs of rebounding with the latest figures coming in slightly better than they were in August 2019, according to a monthly financial report released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Casinos in Carson City and Carson Valley areas, including those in Minden and Gardnerville and the rest of Douglas County with the exception of Stateline, saw August gaming revenue, also called “gaming win” at $9,934,397 for the month, up 0.61 percent from August 2019.

Meanwhile, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $743,038,562 for the month of August 2020. This amounts to a 22.08 percent decrease compared to August 2019, when licensees reported a gaming win of $953,623,896.

Elsewhere, casinos in South Lake Tahoe saw a gaming revenue decrease of 7.57 percent for the month. Casinos in Sparks had a decrease in gaming revenue by 6.71 percent, and Reno, 14.82 percent.

Clark County and the Las Vegas Strip were among the worst in gaming revenue, with Clark County seeing a 25.07 percent gaming revenue loss, with the Las Vegas Strip seeing a 39.19 percent gaming revenue loss.
