Wilder Voices Therapy is excited to announce the opening of its family-owned pediatric speech therapy practice serving Carson City and surrounding Northern Nevada communities. Founded by Speech-Language Pathologist Carlie Wilders, the practice is currently accepting new clients and welcomes CareSource, Nevada Medicaid, Aetna, and private-pay families.

Carlie’s passion for communication began long before she became a speech-language pathologist. As a child, she developed a close friendship with someone who communicated through sign language. Seeing firsthand how communication connects people, builds relationships, and creates independence inspired a career dedicated to helping children find their voice โ whether that voice is spoken, signed, or supported through a communication device.
Wilder Voices Therapy provides services in-home or in the community. They can be reached at (775) 297-4296 and on their website here.
Carlie and her husband recently moved to Carson City to be closer to family and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that makes Northern Nevada such a special place to live. Through Wilder Voices Therapy, Carlie hopes to serve local families with the same compassion, encouragement, and support that first drew her to the profession.
Wilder Voices Therapy provides in-home and telehealth services, allowing children to learn and practice communication skills where they are most comfortable โ at home, during daily routines, and alongside the people who know them best.
Carlie specializes in working with children with speech and language delays, autism, feeding challenges, and children who use or may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including speech-generating devices. She particularly enjoys helping children who are not yet speaking, have difficulty expressing their wants and needs, experience frustration communicating, or struggle with mealtimes and expanding the foods they eat.
Her therapy style is play-based, child-led, and relationship-focused. Rather than sitting at a table drilling flashcards, Carlie follows a child’s interests and uses play, movement, books, favorite toys, and everyday activities to build meaningful communication skills. Parents and caregivers are active participants in the therapy process so strategies can be carried over throughout the week and progress can continue beyond each session.
Families interested in speech, language, AAC, autism, or feeding services are encouraged to reach out. Wilder Voices Therapy is now accepting new referrals and looks forward to helping children and families throughout Northern Nevada connect, communicate, and thrive.
