Division of Child and Family Services’ Carson City District Office and Common Ground Church hosted the 2026 Foster Caregiver Appreciation Party, August 22, at James Lee Park in Carson City. The event was a day of fun, food, games and activities for foster caregivers and children in Carson City, and Storey, Lyon, Churchill and Douglas counties.

“Foster parents are an integral part of keeping our kids safe,” said Perla Landa-Munoz, Foster Care Recruiter- Rural Nevada, Nevada Department of Human Services, Division of Child and Family Services. “We will never be able to give them enough thanks for doing what they do. It’s beautiful to see the community come together and provide gifts to our foster families.”
