While statewide casino gaming figures showed an increase in July, Carson City area casinos saw a 3 percent decrease in gaming revenue for the month, according the latest figures released Wednesday from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for south shore Tahoe, saw gaming revenue, also called “gaming win,” at $11,408,976 for the month compared to July 2022 figures.

Elsewhere, south shore Lake Tahoe, which includes the Stateline casino corridor, saw a 2.98 decline in “gaming win,” bringing in $30,883,216 for the month. Casinos at north shore Lake Tahoe saw gaming revenue climb 14.65 percent.

Casinos in Reno and Sparks also saw increases in gaming revenue with Reno bringing in $72,245,652 and Sparks with $17,157,719. Washoe County saw gaming revenue climb 6.12 percent over July 2022 figures, bringing in $100,583,366.

Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,403,951,426 for the month of July 2023. This amounts to a 6.69 percent increase compared to July 2022.
