Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Thursday afternoon to a brush fire in the area of Rattlesnake Hill near Fairview and Lepire streets.
The fire was called in at around 1 p.m. First responders on scene report a small brush fire, 20 by 20 feet in size and not showing signs of a rapid rate spread at this time.
Multiple brush engines have been called to respond.
Traffic has been shut down at Fairview and Lepire. Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area to allow fire trucks through.
