According to the Carson City Fire Department, early this morning crews were called to a mobile home fire in the area of Gold Leaf Lane with two residents trapped inside.

Their statement is as follows:

This morning, just after 5:00 am Carson City Firefighters were dispatched to a mobile home on fire with two people trapped. Firefighters arrived in five minutes and reported fire and heavy smoke conditions from the residence.

Firefighters quickly entered the home, located the two trapped citizens and rapidly removed them from the burning structure.

Both citizens immediately received advanced life saving treatment and were transported to Carson Tahoe RMC by our firefighter paramedics.

The fire was confined to the room of origin, however the home suffered extensive smoke damage throughout. It appears the occupants were alerted by a working smoke alarm and had attempted to get out of the home before they were located and rescued by firefighters.

Carson City Firefighters were assisted by the Truckee Meadows and East Fork Fire Districts.
