Douglas County fire crews are on scene Wednesday afternoon on a quarter- to a half-acre fire near the bottom of Kingsbury Grade on the Carson Valley side.
The fire was reported to be near Autumn Hills and Quail Ridge and was said to be burning at a slow rate of spread in ground fuels. Initial responders reporting they believe they will be able to handle the fire with a few engines. They are setting up structure protection just in case.
