Staff Reports

A 43-year-old man was arrested for felony indecent exposure in front of minors, gross misdemeanor indecent exposure, and failure to register as an ex-felon.
According to the arrest report, Jacob Fearn was arrested after deputies were dispatched on report of a man exposing himself in front of a daycare.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a teenaged staff member, who said around 5:30 p.m. the day before she’d seen a man, later identified as Fearn, walking in front of the business with his pants unzipped and his genitals exposed. She said the man was yelling at a fence in front of the business at which point he pulled his shirt up, also exposing his buttocks, according to the report.
The staff member had taken photos of the suspect and showed them to the deputy who recognized Fearn from prior incidents. A few hours after the incident, Fearn had been arrested in the same area on different charges.
Deputies spoke with another co-worker who also witnessed Fearn exposing himself in front of the business while she was outside. Both agreed to press charges for indecent exposure.
Deputies checked Fearn’s criminal history and determined he was also a convicted felon, but had not registered since 2018.
He was add-booked for the additional three charges for a bail amount of $8,637
— A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at a motel in the 1700 block of N. Carson St. in reference to a domestic battery report. The suspect called deputies stating she had hit her husband, and that he had hit her the day before.
Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the couple. The man, who was holding his infant son, told deputies the woman she’d been drinking the night before, which caused them to argue for the entire day, according to the report. He told deputies the woman had punched him in the mouth with a closed fist, and deputies noted he had an injury to the inside of his mouth. He told deputies that if she “was going to lie about him hitting her, he would press charges for her hitting him.”
Deputies spoke with the woman, who was “erratic and agitated,” according to deputies. She said she had been drinking and using meth, which she told deputies she’d flushed earlier that day. She said the man had threatened to call the police and lie to them about her hitting their baby, so she punched him in the mouth.
Deputies asked if the man had struck her, and she said he “fully punched her on the left side of her face with a closed face,” but deputies stated in the report that the man is much larger than her, and she had no bruising or swelling on the outside or inside of her cheek and mouth.
She admitted to punching the man as he’d described.
Deputies took the woman into custody and booked her on domestic battery first with a bail amount of $3,137.
