Carson City, NV – The Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Hope Sullivan and Doug Johnson, both of Douglas County and Garrett Lepire of Carson City. Each brings valuable expertise, a passion for community service, and a shared commitment to improving the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities throughout rural Nevada.
Hope, Doug and Garrett join the board at a pivotal time, as RSVP continues to expand critical services including transportation, homemaker care, companionship, and respite support. Their diverse backgrounds and professional experiences will strengthen the organization’s ability to meet the growing needs of the communities it serves.
“We are excited to welcome Garrett, Hope, and Doug to the Board,” said Molly Walt, CEO of Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, Inc. “Their dedication to community service aligns perfectly with our mission, and we look forward to the energy and perspective they will bring.”
As RSVP celebrates this new chapter, it also bids a heartfelt farewell to longtime board member Jerry Thurman, who has officially stepped down after an incredible 32 years of dedicated service. Jerry’s leadership, insight, and unwavering commitment to RSVP’s mission have played a key role in shaping the organization over the past three decades.
“Jerry’s contributions have been immeasurable,” said Walt. “His wisdom and compassion guided our organization through countless milestones, and his legacy will continue to inspire our work. We are deeply grateful for his service and wish him all the best in retirement.”
RSVP’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s mission to support seniors and adults with disabilities in maintaining their independence and quality of life. With the addition of Hope, Doug, and Garrett and in honor of Jerry’s long-standing dedication, RSVP enters this next chapter with strength and optimism.
