The Carson City Treasurer’s Office is announcing that the real property tax bills for Carson City, Nev., are now ready for the new tax year of 2026-2027, which runs from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, through Wednesday, June 30, 2027.

Property owners should begin to receive their property tax bills in the mail within the next 15 days, and any property owner who does not receive a property tax bill by Friday, July 31, 2026, should contact the Treasurer’s Office at (775) 887-2092 to receive a duplicate tax bill.

Nevada law sets the due dates for property tax payments, and if a property owner’s tax bill is more than $100, the property owner can make the tax payments in four installments between August 2026 and March 2027. The four due dates set by Nevada law for this current tax year will be:

First Installment: Monday, August 17, 2026 (the third Monday of August 2026)

Second Installment: Monday, October 5, 2026 (the first Monday of October 2026)

Third Installment: Monday, January 4, 2027 (the first Monday of January 2027)

Fourth Installment: Monday, March 1, 2027 (the first Monday of March 2027)

Property owners can make payments for their property taxes through any of the following options:

  • Online at https://carsoncitynv.devnetwedge.com/
  • Bill-pay through the property owner’s bank (please be sure to include the entire parcel number and address)
  • By telephone: (888) 837-9291 (follow the voice prompts)
  • In-person or by mail:

Carson City Treasurer’s Office, 201 N. Carson St., Suite 5, Carson City, NV 89701

  • Green payment box located on the east side of City Hall, 201 N. Carson St.

Accompanying this year’s real property tax bill, Carson City property owners will find two useful notices:

  • On the real property tax bill, property owners will see the property tax cap status for their parcel, and this will advise propertyowners if their property is listed at the low or high property tax cap rate based on the property tax claim form which the property owner has filed with the Carson City Assessor’s Office. If property owners have questions regarding the property tax cap status for their property, please contact the Assessor’s Office at (775) 887-2130 or assessor@carsoncity.gov
  • The Carson City Clerk-Recorder’s Office will have an announcement on how property owners can enroll themselves at no charge in Carson City’s Recording Notification Service.  This Recording Notification Service will notify property owners if any documents are recorded under their name or Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN).  In addition, the Clerk-Recorder’s Office will have information for property owners about homesteading their property.  If property owners have any questions about signing up for the notification service or homesteading their property, they can contact the Carson City Clerk-Recorder’s Office at (775) 887-2260 or recorder@carsoncity.gov.

The Treasurer’s Office reminds all property owners to verify if they have a mortgage lender or mortgage impound account that makes the property tax payments on behalf of the property owner or if the property owner has the responsibility to make the timely payment for all property taxes owed.  In addition, the Treasurer’s Office advises property owners that if they previously had a mortgage lender that made their property tax payments for them, and the property owner has since paid off the mortgage, the property owner is now responsible for making the timely property tax payments.

Property owners who have questions about their tax bill or need a copy of their tax bill can contact the Treasurer’s Office at (775) 887-2092 or treasurer@carsoncity.gov.
