Carson City, Nev. (Aug. 12, 2025) —  Mark Twain Elementary School students will be greeted this new school year by a burst of color and creativity, thanks to a collaborative art project funded by the school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and brought to life by renowned muralist Bryce Chisolm.

In partnership with Eric Brooks, Mural Festival coordinator for the Brewery Arts Center, the project aimed to encourage creativity, determination and community pride through a large-scale public art featured on the wall of the school’s music room.

Chisolm, known for his vivid, layered murals, generously donated his time, skill and talent to the project, transforming a school space into a vibrant visual story.

The entire project was funded through proceeds raised by the Mark Twain PTO, with Chisolm donating his artistic expertise as a gift to the school.

Eric Brooks provided creative guidance and coordination to ensure the mural’s vision aligned with the school’s goals of inspiring young minds.

The mural stands as a lasting symbol of collaboration, generosity and the belief that art can spark imagination and determination in every student who passes by.
