UPDATE 9:22PM: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District reports forward progress on the Diablo fire has been stopped. Evacuation warnings have been lifted. At this time it has been mapped at 65 acres. The cause is under investigation.
UPDATE 8:30PM: The Diablo fire has grown to 90 acres, according to reporting done by Eastern Sierra Fire and Ice, which tracks fires in the region. Evacuation warnings are in place for the area east of New Washoe City, south of Toll Road. Go here for the evacuation map. Air resources have been requested, according to Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.

Carson City Fire Department was called Sunday evening to assist Truckee Meadows Fire and the Bureau of Land Management with a brush fire in the area of Ophir Road and Eastlake Road, two miles southeast of Pleasant Valley in Washoe County.
The Diablo fire is reportedly 65 acres, with a moderate rate of spread and with a high spread potential, according to Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.
The fire was reported at around 5 p.m. At this time there are no reports of structures threatened.
Carson City Fire Department was called to assisted at around 6:10 p.m.

Storey County advises officials are aware of the fire, which is approximately 4 to 5 miles west of Five Mile Road (SR 341 Geiger Grade at Toll Road.) At this time there are no evacuation warnings or evacuation notices for Storey County residents, including those in the Virginia City Highlands.
