Two Carson City jail inmates were booked Friday for suspicion of felony battery by a prisoner after they allegedly attacked and beat an inmate, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office report.

Kristofer Jacob Schutten, 25, and Dylan Doisher, 20, were each booked with the offense, which was reviewed on video by jail deputies investigating the matter. In the video, the men could be seen hitting the victim in the head and upper body. The victim was evaluated by medical staff. Bail: $20,000 each.

In other arrests:
— A 54-year-old man was arrested Sunday for obstructing and resisting and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the booking report, the man had been intoxicated and riding his bicycle causing him to fall over, which required him to be taken to the emergency room.

Due to his level of intoxication and lack of a home or anyone to care for him, he was placed in civil protective custody. While at the hospital he threatened to fight a deputy. A meth pipe was found in his pants pocket when the deputy checked him for contraband. Bail: $3,774.

— A 21-year-old Reno woman was arrested Sunday, 7:34 a.m. for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to North Carson and College Parkway when a reporting party stated a female was blocking the road, and had possibly been drinking.

A deputy spoke with witnesses and the female driver, who was in the driver’s seat. The woman stated she was looking for her friends. The deputy asked if she had a little too much to drink. The woman said not at all, and that she stopped in the turn lane because she was trying to figure out where her friends were at.

She told the deputy her license was stolen the previous night but provided her name and date of birth. The deputy asked the woman to step out of the vehicle. The deputy observed an empty bottle of Truly Vodka without a cap on it, on the left side of the passenger floorboard.

The woman stated a friend left the bottle behind. She agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. She provided a preliminary breath test of .220 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Bail: $1,137.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 10:53 a.m. for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, open container and a tail light violation.

According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle stopped at a stop sign on North Edmonds and Fairview that didn’t have a rear registration plate.

A deputy caught up to the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. When the driver applied the brakes, the deputy observed the right taillight not illuminating. The deputy approached the vehicle, which was occupied by the driver and a dog. All four windows were down and the deputy was able to smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle, the report states.

The officer noticed multiple Twisted Tea bottles on the floor of the passenger seat. Some were empty and some were full. In the center console there was an aluminum can that was open. The officer asked if the beverage he had in the center console had alcohol. The man replied “I’m going to jail.” The deputy asked him how much he had to drink. He said he had been drinking what he had in the center console and he was going to drink a Svedka vodka shooter that he also had in the center console.

At the time the officer informed him he would be receiving a citation for driving with an open container. The deputy asked the man to exit the vehicle and noticed his eyes were red and watery and there was a mild odor of alcohol coming from his person. He agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a partial preliminary breath test of .232. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he provided breath samples of .239, .266 and .245. Bail: $1,401.

— A 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for two misdemeanor failure to appear warrants, one issued out of Carson City and the other from Dayton Township Court. Bail: $1,055 cash.

— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 1:25 p.m. for a misdemeanor warrant issued by the Nevada Gaming Control Board through Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

— A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 5:22 p.m. for misdemeanor parole and probation violation. Bail: $3,000.
