
UPDATE: A 19-year-old man was arrested Friday for suspicion of possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and lesser offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Asher Samuel Hernandez was also booked for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to the report, deputies made a traffic stop after observing at vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to come to a stop at the stop-sign intersection of S. Curry and 10th Street.
A deputy met with the driver who identified himself and the front passenger, Hernandez, who identified himself and said he was 19-year-old.
The deputy could see marijuana in plain view, and the vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana. During a search, officers located 1 ounce of marijuana in a jar and 14 grams in a ziplock baggie. Also found were several marijuana pipes, a bong, and a scale with residue inside a backpack belonging to Hernandez.
He stated the marijuana and paraphernalia in the backpack was his. Deputies spoke with three backseat passengers who all stated they were under 18 years old and did not have a Nevada Identification Card.
Hernandez was arrested for the above alleged offenses. Bail: $5,000.

— A 28-year-old man was arrested for felony warrants alleging burglary of a business, gross misdemeanor conspiracy to commit burglary, a felony failure to appear warrant and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant.
Booked into Carson City Jail was Alejandro Rios-Guerrero. Bail: $7,500.
— A 51-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, the man refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests.
He was arrested after the investigation led deputies to believe the man was suspected to be under the influence, and witness statements made saying the man was too intoxicated to drive.
At jail a telephonic warrant for a blood draw was granted by a Carson City judge. Bail: $1,137.
