A 45-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Following an investigation, deputies arrested Andrew Walden Earhart. According to the report, deputies were dispatched at 8:58 p.m. to the 600 block of North Stewart for a domestic battery.

Deputies arrived and made contact with the reporting party and the victim, both of whom were standing outside of an apartment room. The deputy advised both subjects to move down the hall while the officer attempted to make contact with male half, later identified as the suspect. After several attempts at trying to contact the man, deputies were unsuccessful.

During this time, other deputies obtained further information from the reporting party and victim and learned the suspect had strangled the victim on May 30. The suspect is alleged to have grabbed the female victim by her throat and threw her to the ground. A deputy observed bruising on the elbows of the victim, which she stated were from being thrown to the ground.

The suspect then came out of the residence. An officer told him to show his hands and turn around. He complied at which time he was placed into custody. He was taken to the patrol vehicle and was read his Miranda rights, which he waived. The deputy asked the suspect about the incident the victim described. He stated he pushed her to get away from him, the report states. The deputy observed a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. He provided a preliminary breath test of .329. He was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and jailed for suspicion of domestic battery with strangulation. Bail: $7,500.

In other arrests:
— A 32-year-old Arizona man, Dylan Pine, was arrested Monday for a felony warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court alleging embezzlement of an older person. The man turned himself in to Carson City Jail on the warrant. Bail: $10,000.

— A 44-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was arrested for a warrant alleging misdemeanor DUI and failure to yield to a sign or at a controlled intersection. Bail: $1,000.

— A 26-year-old woman was arrested Thursday, May 28 for suspicion of felony domestic battery with use of a deadly weapon, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Following an investigation, Alexis Sandra Childs was taken into custody. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a Bryan Circle address regarding a domestic battery in which the suspect reportedly pulled a knife at the victim.

Deputies made contact with the suspect outside the residence. She told deputies her boyfriend came over to her residence to pick up his belongings since they were breaking up. She said that once he was in the house they began arguing over a table that she said didn’t belong to him.

She said she told the man she was going to message a man on her phone, which made the victim upset and led him to take her phone away. She said she was able to take his phone and said she would give his phone back if he returned her phone. She said the man returned her phone and then she threw the man’s phone at his face. She said she kept telling him to leave the residence but that he refused, according to the report.

The deputy asked the woman if the man had gotten physical with her. She said he picked her up and placed her on the bed and got on top of her. She said she and him were giggling when that happened but that she started to panic and told the man to get off of her. The deputy asked when that happened. She said before the argument started.

The deputy asked her about her pointing the knife at the man. She admitted to grabbing a knife from the kitchen knife block. The deputy asked her why she pulled a knife on the man and she said that he was yelling at her and getting too close. She said while holding the knife she told him to leave the residence. The deputy asked where she was standing when she pulled the knife on the man. She said by the exit.

The deputy spoke with the man and asked him what happened. He said he came to the residence to grab his belongings since they had broken up and that once he arrived she began yelling at him. He said he picked up her and placed her on the bed playfully to calm the situation. He said he got on top of her and then got off of her as soon as she told him to get off of her.

He said he went into the kitchen and started moving the table, which made the woman upset. They began to argue about her messaging the guy on the phone and said he took her phone. He said she took his phone and told him she would give it back once he returned her phone. He returned the phone and said the woman then threw the phone at at the left side of his face, the report states.

While speaking, the deputy observed redness on the left side of his face. He said they continued to argue in the kitchen, which is when he said she pulled the biggest knife out of the knife block and pointed it at him, the report states. He said the woman was standing by the exit. The deputy asked if she pointed the knife at him. He said yes. The deputy asked if she made any comments while holding the knife. He said something to the effect of “I don’t want to do it,” the report states. The deputy asked how he felt. He said he felt threatened and scared, the report states.

Based on the information from both parties, the deputy determined the woman to be the main aggressor. She was placed under arrest for suspicion of domestic battery with a deadly weapon. Bail: $20,000.

— A 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the booking report, deputies were called to an Imperial Way apartment for domestic battery.

Deputies arrived and met with the victim and saw he had a black mark under his left eye. He stated his girlfriend found out that he was messaging other females. He stated she got mad and hit him in the face.

Deputies interviewed the woman, who stated she saw the man’s phone and noticed he was texting other females. She said the two then got into an altercation and admitted to slapping the man across the face two times when the deputy asked her if anything physical happened between the two. She was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.

— A 52-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday, May 29 for suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $1,000.

– A 42-year-old Reno man was arrested Friday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession or use of a dangerous weapon (brass knuckles) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,637.

— A 23-year-old Dayton man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.

— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle facing southbound on North Plaza Street which is a one-way for northbound traffic only. The vehicle was running and the driver was revving the engine. The deputy walked up to the vehicle and asked why he was facing southbound on a northbound only road.

The officer observed bloodshot red and watery eyes as well as slurred speech. He was slow with his movements and explained that he was just parking the vehicle. The deputy told him he was seeing signs of impairment. The man asked the deputy to let him park the vehicle and go home. The deputy explained that he could not just leave and instructed him to turn off the vehicle, the report states.

While speaking the deputy could smell the odor of alcohol coming from his breath. He was asked if he would be willing to consent to field sobriety testing. He consented.

The man said he drank three beers. He showed clues of impairment on the tests. He provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .197. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he provided evidentiary breath tests of .176 and .190. Bail: $1,140.

— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested May 30, 2:17 a.m. for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle without headlights going north on Carson Street approaching William Street. The vehicle made a left turn onto William and into a gas station. The deputy activated their emergency lights. The vehicle came to a stop at one of the gas pumps.

The deputy approached the driver and informed him the reason for the pullover due to having no headlights illuminated. The deputy noticed a slight slur in the man’s speech and observed multiple opened and unopened alcoholic beverages in the back seat and rear floorboard of the vehicle. The deputy asked if he had been drinking. He initially said no but when asked about the alcoholic beverages in the back seat, he stated he had a beer.

The deputy asked if he would be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. The man agreed and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He provided a preliminary breath test of .129 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he agreed to evidentiary breath tests with results of .095 and .096. Bail: $1,140.

— A 20-year-old Las Vegas woman was arrested May 30 for resisting an officer and possession of marijuana (under age). Bail: $542.
