The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified a Reno resident who died Friday in a single vehicle rollover at US-395 and the northbound Stead Boulevard off ramp.
The driver, Christopher Shaw, 32, died at the scene, according to an NHP news release. The crash was reported Friday, May 7, 2021 at approximately 6:14 p.m.
A preliminary investigation shows that a blue 1998 Ford Expedition was traveling northbound on US-395 and exited the highway via the Stead Boulevard off-ramp at a high rate of speed, according to an NHP news release.
The driver failed to maintain their travel lane and overcorrected, causing the Expedition to rotate, furrow into the dirt shoulder, and overturn, according to the release.
