Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of May 18-24, 2026. Closures and lane reductions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work. See the link here to view a map of road work happening this week.
Fifth Street between Stewart Street and Plaza Street will be closed nightly from Monday through Sunday, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Sixth Street between Minnesota Street and Division Street will be closed to Eastbound traffic Monday through Sunday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Seventh Street between Stewart Street and Plaza Street will be closed from Monday through Sunday.
Airport Road between Highway 50 and College Parkway will have southbound lane closures with flaggers from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Plaza Street between 5th Street and 7th Street will be closed from Monday through Sunday.
Access to Roop Street from William Street will be closed from Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The southbound left-turn lane will also be closed during this time.
Roop Street between 5th Street and Musser Street will be closed from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. During the Roop Street closure, the following intersections will be closed, one at a time:

Roop St/King St
Roop St/2nd St
Roop St/5th St
William Street between Carson Street and Roop Street will be closed to Eastbound traffic from Thursday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The William Street/Stewart Street intersection will have intermittent lane closures from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Northbound and southbound traffic will be affected.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work:

Baker Drive between Kerinne Circle and Gillis Way will have reduced lanes from May 4 to July 7, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
College Parkway between Highway 50 and Lompa Lane will have reduce lanes from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Fairview Drive between Roop Street and the I-580 on/off ramps will have lane restrictions from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Lander Drive between Silver Sage Drive and Baker Drive will have reduced lanes from April 30 to July 7, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Pioche Street between Silver Sage Drive and Baker Drive will have reduced lanes from May 4 to July 7, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Roop Street between Northridge Drive and Basque Way will have reduced lanes from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Stewart Street between 5th Street and 8th Street may have reduced lanes with flaggers from Monday through Sunday, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Stewart Street between Little Lane and William Street will have lane closures from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Tuscarora Way between Silver Sage Drive and Baker Drive will have reduced lanes from April 28 to July 7, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Vintage Circle will have reduced lanes from May 4 to July 7, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
William Street between Carson Street and Airport Road will have restricted lanes from Monday through Sunday.
The William Street/Carson Street intersection will have intermittent lane closures from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
