A 36-year-old woman was arrested early Sunday for allegedly giving deputies a fake name and birthdate to avoid a felony bench warrant issued for her arrest, according to a Carson City sheriff’s booking report.
Latisia Allana Gonzales, of Carson City, was arrested Sunday 2:40 a.m. in the 300 block of North Carson Street for felony suspicion of providing false identification to avoid prosecution, a felony probation violation warrant and suspicion of violation of parole and probation, also a felony offense.
According to the booking report, officers were dispatch to a local bar for a report of 6 to 10 subjects fighting. Upon arrival officers observed a male and female walking away from the group, one going one way and the other going another way, the report states.
A deputy gave verbal commands asking the woman stop. She did not comply with the orders. The officer made contact with her and asked why she didn’t listen to the commands. The officer asked for the woman’s name. Gonzales provided a name, which it was learned was not her name, as well as a wrong birthdate.
She also provided a social security number, which came back without a match. The officer explained to the woman that she was lying and that she was going to jail.
The officer told the woman she had one last chance to provide the correct information. She did, where it was learned she had a confirmed warrant for her arrest and was wanted by parole and probation. She was arrested and booked. The warrant and parole and probation violation offenses had a no-bail hold. Bail amount for providing false identification: $10,000.
