The popular Carson City Public Works Open House is back this Saturday for another year of fun.

Kids (and their grown ups!) have the opportunity to clamber on heavy machinery, engage in a number of educational displays, play games, enter raffles and more.

The event is free for all, and there will be food for purchase through Nevada NOSH, Nayami Tacos, and some shaved ice as a sweet treat.

There will be representatives from all of Carson City’s Public Work crews including water, sewer, streets, landfill, flood mitigation, Jump Around Carson (JAC), engineering, utilities, and many more; bring your questions and learn all about how these employees serve our city every day.

The open house begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m. at 3505 Butti Way between Fairview Drive and Airport Road.
