Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong says he supports Governor Brian Sandoval’s plan to increase funding for early childhood education. Sandoval’s proposed budget includes $882 million in education reforms, like Pre-K and full-day kindergarten. Furlong says he supports the programs because it could improve Nevada’s graduation rates, and that could reduce incarceration rates.
