A 43-year-old Carson Tahoe Hospital nurse died Wednesday at Renown Medical Center in Reno after the Carson City Sheriff’s Office responded to a minor vehicle accident in the area of College Parkway and Retail Drive.
The accident happened late Wednesday afternoon. Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said the single vehicle crash was minor in nature and that it is possible the man had suffered a medical emergency prior to the incident.
Witnesses had reported the vehicle driving erratically before the single vehicle crash, which resulted in minor damage to the vehicle, said Sheriff Furlong.
The man was taken to Renown Medical Center in Reno where his condition worsened and then, later, died. An autopsy will be conducted by the Washoe County Medical Examiner.
