The pandemic has been isolating for many people in our community, especially those living with a dementia diagnosis. A new program that helps people dealing with the diagnosis is available with May and June sessions in Minden.

The Connected Horse program is based upon an innovative research study conducted at Stanford University and UC Davis with powerful effects on participants, giving those with dementia healing techniques with the use of horses.

The workshop attendees will learn techniques for stress reduction strategies, develop self compassion, reduce feelings of depression and anxiety with improved sleep and awareness, after engaging with horses.

There is no fee to participate and no prior experience with horses is necessary. There will be a limited number of participants for the May and June sessions.

Please call to reserve your spot for this fun and helpful workshop. Participants must be willing to participate as a pair with the primary care partner.
