IN LOVING MEMORY: HARRY JOSEPH HEIN
9/13/1936 – D.O.D. 3/31/2026
On March 31, 2026, we lost the patriarch of our family. Harry was known mostly as “Joe” to those who knew and loved him.
Harry was born to Harry Sr. and Jean Hein in Bell, Calif. on September 13, 1936.
In 1942, the family moved to South Lake Tahoe, Calif. to be closer to Harry Sr. immediate family.
Growing up in South Lake Tahoe, one of the most beautiful places on earth, groomed and shaped the man we all knew. His love for the outdoors, fishing, hunting, or just a drive into the wilderness was introduced to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Going to school in South Lake Tahoe, Joe had excelled in academics with lettering in both basketball and football.
Graduating from S.L.T. High School in 1955, Joe worked for his Uncle Merle at Ninemire Plumbing in Tahoe off and on until he was drafted into the Army in 1959 and served for 2 years on active duty and another 4 years in the reserves.
Joe worked for several plumbing companies in the 60’s, which included Hillcrest Plumbing and Ponderosa Plumbing. He also worked as a mechanic for his good friend Andi Butti at his dealership in Carson City.
In 1964, Joe married (Sharon) the Love of his life on May 1, 1964. In Carson City Nevada.
In 1972, he joined Local 350 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, he worked for Hillcrest Mechanical, A&A Plumbing and J.W. McClenahan. He then retired in 2001.
Harry Joe Hein survived by his wife Sharon of 62 years, his son Greg and (Gina) Hein of Carson City, Nev. Daughter, Christinia and (Dan) Beaulaurier of Dayton, Nev. And on Michael and (Cathy) Hein of Carson City. Six grandchildren, Tristan and (Kailey) Hein, Megan and (T.J.) Paterson, Ashley Bobbitt, Jackie Bobbitt, Nick Hein and Marissa Hein.
Eight great grandchildren, Eli, Matthew, Carter, Jackson, Brody, Ellie, Liberty and Colt.
Joe will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
May he rest in Peace.
