Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team (SET) in collaboration with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Human Exploitation and Recovery Operations (H.E.R.O) Team and the Tri-NET Narcotic Task Force, arrested five men Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor customer engaging in or solicitation of prostitution, according to a news release. Of the five, one was also booked for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. Carson Now does not name individuals arrested for misdemeanor offenses. See our policy guidelines here.
In other bookings:
— A 31-year-old man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies were dispatched at 1:54 p.m. to an Airport Road bar regarding a battery. The reporting party (RP) advised there was a battery between a son and father.
Deputies arrived and were informed by a witness that both men had left the scene and the victim was taken home by a friend due to his high level of intoxication.
Witnesses explained the two began arguing and that the 31-year-old slapped the male victim with an open hand to the right side of the face. The victim (age not provided and his relation to the suspect wasn’t explicit in the report) then pushed the 31-year-old and stated “get away from me.” Deputies also interviewed another witness who described the altercation.
Deputies obtained video surveillance and observed the two men have having a dispute and observed the 31-year-old slap the male victim on the right side of his face. The victim then stood and the two began yelling at each other. The 31-year-old then pushes the victim, causing him to fall over onto the concrete floor, according to the report.
Deputies responded to the address of the suspect and he was located nearby. The 31-year-old advised he had slapped the man and said they have been arguing for years whenever the man is intoxicated, according to the report.
The 31-year-old was determined to be the primary aggressor and was booked for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail: $3,000.
— A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday for a misdemeanor warrant issued Feb. 10, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $950.
— A 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday for a misdemeanor warrant alleging unlawful failure to restrain, issued Dec. 9, 2025 out of Carson City Municipal Court. Booked and released.
— A 51-year-old man was arrested Thursday for a misdemeanor bench warrant issued Feb. 20, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
