Meet Butch and Sundance, Catmandu’s version of the “hole in the wall gang” and our cats of the week.

Like their namesakes, these two handsome flame-point Siamese mix guys are charming, playful…and cautious. Bonded brothers with beautiful blue eyes and adorable faces, they are just a year old and looking for a home where they can blossom into amazing cats.

Rescued as kittens, they spent their whole lives in a very quiet home with exposure to only a couple of different people. They are rather overwhelmed by the noise and all the strangers at Catmandu. They spend their days in favorite hiding places and come out in the late afternoon when things quiet down.

Butch is the more outgoing of the pair. With some patience and just a bit of coaxing, he will let you pet his luxurious fur, scratch his head, chin, ears and butt and give you the occasional head bump.

Sundance is slower to warm up and will need a patient and cat-savvy human to win his trust and help him turn from outlaw to lovebug. He will allow you to pet him, but is still uncertain and easily startled.

Play and food are the ways to these boy’s hearts. Toys and treats make them happy and will win them over. They are fine with other cats, but have never been around a dog. They would not do well in a noisy and active household or a home with small children.

If you think you might be perfect home for this special pair of guys, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website at CatmanduCC.org/adoptions. Potential adopters are welcome to visit Catmandu at 1829 Brown Street on Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have plenty of time to meet Butch and Sundance and the other wonderful cats awaiting their forever homes.

Catmandu is a cage-free cat sanctuary and rescue that is celebrating a decade of lifesaving in 2024. Since March of 2014, more than 2700 cats have passed through our doors and into better lives. Many others have been helped through our community programs and efforts.
