Just before 1 p.m. Carson City deputies and EMTs were dispatched to a men’s shelter on Gibson Ave. on report of a man with a stab wound.
An altercation broke out between two individuals and the victim was stabbed in the arm and chest.
Responders ordered a care flight ambulance as they were enroute to the scene which will be landing at the Park n Ride on Highway 50.
Motorists should avoid the areas.
The suspect was disarmed of a steak knife prior to deputies arriving.
