Local Rotarians will learn about the statewide Cybersecurity Incident that happened last August at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting. Timothy Galluzi, Executive Director & State Chief Information Officer, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon that takes place Tuesday, April 14, at noon, in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom. The public is invited to attend.

The widespread cyberattack targeted more than 60 agencies, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Health and Human Service and the Department of Public Safety. Galluzi will explain how the attack happened, how it was resolved, and lessons learned from the event.

He will also cover some best practices on how all Nevadans can keep themselves safe online.
