A 40-year-old transient man was arrested for attempting a car jacking Friday morning.

According to Sheriff Ken Furlong, William Kirst was taken into custody on Saliman after the attempted car jacking took place on Robinson Street near Palo Verde.

The man was uncooperative with law enforcement, said Furlong.

According to one Carson Now reader, the location of the car jacking was near an elementary school bus pick up location.

There were no injuries reported.
