
UPDATE 4:28 PM: Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called to two separate crashes Wednesday afternoon that happened within minutes of each other. One crash involves a motorcycle on Deer Run Road one mile south of Highway 50 and the other crash happened on Highway 50 and College Parkway.
The crashes were reported at approximately 4:08 and 4:10 p.m.
The 15-year-old male motorcycle rider reportedly had minor injuries and was being treated at the scene, said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Scott McDaniel. He was riding a dirt bike, crossing Deer Run Road when he crashed into a parked sedan, said McDaniel.
In the second crash on Highway 50, it is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol. Both motorists signed medical clearances.
There was also a pedestrian accident involving a vehicle just after 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Roop and Washington streets. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
