
A 53-year-old man was arrested early Thursday for suspicion of misdemeanor battery and a felony parole and probation violation, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Patrick Dye was taken into custody at 3:47 a.m. According to the booking report, Carson City sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of North Stewart Street at 1:52 a.m. for a dispute.
A deputy arrived and observed large amounts of garbage on the ground outside of one of the rooms. The officer could also hear a female crying in one of the rooms, according to the arrest report.
The deputy made contact the woman, who was upset but agreed to speak. She stated the man in the room next to her had been verbally and physically aggressive, having pushed and shoved her.
Deputies were unable to make contact with Dye, who was in the other residence, and refused to answer the door. While attempting to speak with him, dispatch advised he had a priority 5 parole and probation hold against him.
At approximately 3:22 a.m. officers returned to the 500 block of North Stewart for a report of a verbal altercation taking place outside one of the rooms. On arrival deputies made contact with Dye and arrested him for the felony parole and probation violation hold and a citizen’s arrest for battery. Mr. Dye was being held without bail in lieu of a hearing for the P&P violation.

A 34-year-old Truckee man was booked into jail Wednesday for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued June 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
