Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Monday afternoon to a motorcycle accident involving a vehicle in the 1200 block of East Long Street.
The call came into dispatch at 2:37 p.m. The rider was conscious and reportedly suffered injuries to his knee, hip and back. He was treated by Carson City fire and rescue personnel and taken by ground ambulance to the hospital.
Traffic is being re-directed around the accident. East Long Street was closed temporarily in both directions. Motorists can expect delays. The cause is under investigation.
