Art students from Carson City, Dayton, Douglas and Whittell High Schools have contributed 69 entries in the Spring 2026 High School Student Art Exhibition at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery. This inaugural show highlights work created by high school art students offering them the opportunity to present their artwork in a professional gallery setting while inviting the broader community to celebrate their creativity and achievement.
Spring 2026, a Nevada Artists Association sponsored student art exhibition, will be on display March 28th – May 8th at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery located at 449 West King Street, Carson City, NV 89703. The hours are Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm – 4pm.
There will be a public Artists Reception and Awards Presentation on Thursday, April 2nd, 5-7pm where student awards for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mentions will be announced. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The reception features refreshments and an opportunity to meet the young artists.
The exhibition features a wide variety of art including ceramics, mixed media, drawing, and painting.
Whittell High School’s art students are Lucie Beauchemin, Zoe Spitler, and Ember Stewart.
Art students from Dayton High include Makayla Cubacub, Luka Gomez, Jackie Kikuchi, Mona Liechti, Dillon McAtee, Joslyn McBroome, Morgan McGregor, Lily McReynolds, Milla Noren, Violet Ramirez, Katherine Reeves, Jesse Williams, and Ella Wright.
Douglas High’s students include Logan Axtell, Sophia Baker-Hinsz, Hollace Brito, Addison Buckner, Lim Carillo, Elissa Dumlao, Kai D Ensign, Cooper Goodwin, Ayva Gunter, Kaitlyn Hastings-Molyneux, Melanie Kings, Sophia Landau, Sienna Maita, Nick Marchut, Yeretzi Reyes, Walter Ruckman, Kylie Ruffo, Mia Stebel, and Carli Stevenson.
Carson High’s students include Raena Ailes, Adolfo Arreola, Eva Bell, Karla April Brena Gutierrez, Adriana Castillo, Sylis Chalmers, Ava Clark, Chloe Clark, Camille Cuneo, Gloria Dooley, Chelsea Empeno, Owen Gould, Karla Gutierrez, Angel Hernandez Gonzalez, Payton Madera, Nadalee Maldonado, Lillian Marler, Isiah Marquez, Cruz Marquez Mariscal, Zoey McMenamy, Clare Mulvihill, Abbey Ortega, Paris Rangel, Charlotte Roberts, Serenity Rodriguez, Josie Sajec, Josie Thompson, Mabel Wacker, and Rameen Wahabzada.
The high school art teachers that selected their students’ best art are Malaynia Wick from Dayton High School; Allison Meyer, Zoe Shorten and Micki Dixon from Douglas High School; Patricia Bean, Alisa Kuniya, Karen McCraw and Adriane Wacker from Carson High School; and Paul Lorion from George Whittell High School.
In addition, the Nevada Artists Association is offering a scholarship. High school art student seniors are invited to submit a portfolio of original work for the art scholarship competition.
