A person was killed in a crash Friday involving involving a commercial vehicle hauling a flatbed trailer, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on US-95 at Mineral County Mile Marker 37 and was reported to NHP at 11:57 a.m.
NHP says its preliminary investigation indicates the commercial vehicle was hauling a flat bed trailer, traveling southbound on US-95 when a bracket from the trailer became disconnected from the trailer and went through the windshield of a GMC Yukon traveling northbound on US 95, striking and killing the driver of the Yukon.
NHP has not yet identified the deceased driver.
