The Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, Nevada Fire Marshall, and Nevada State Police investigated a suspicious suitcase Monday morning that was left at the Nevada Division of Public Health in the 4100 block of Technology Way.
Prior to 8 a.m. the suitcase was left at the entry to the building and did not have identification on it. The Tahoe Douglas Bomb Squad was contacted. Employees were asked to park in a parking lot adjacent to the scene and were told that they could work remotely from home if possible.
As of around 10:30 a.m. the area was cleared and employees could return.
