Carson City Fire Department firefighters didn’t have to go far to knock down a small brush Sunday evening near its own station in the 4600 block of Snyder Avenue.
Just after 8 p.m. a battalion chief reported a 10 foot by 10 foot brush fire adjacent to Station 53 in an open space area. The fire was quickly knocked down.
The cause is unknown at this time.
