Gardeners in Carson City are invited to join irrigation expert and master gardener David Ruf for a hands-on Spring Irrigation Tune Up at the beautiful Greenhouse Garden Center. This engaging event is designed to help both new and experienced gardeners optimize their watering schedules and irrigation systems just in time for spring.
Ruf, owner of Greenhouse Garden Center, will demonstrate why it’s essential to water every part of your yard at least once or twice during April — even when spring showers arrive.
Attendees will learn the benefits of watering early in the morning (between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m.) to prevent fungal diseases and ensure efficient water distribution across lawns, vegetable gardens, and ornamental beds. Practical tips on adjusting timers, evaluating system efficiency, and conserving water will empower gardeners to keep their landscapes lush and healthy.
