Washoe Lake State Park is kicking off April with a variety of engaging, family-friendly programs designed to connect visitors with the outdoors. The month begins with an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the South Valley Volunteer Fire Department, followed by the grand opening of the park’s 18-hole disc golf course, “The Maze at Washoe Lake.”
Visitors can also explore the park’s unique landscape on a guided sand dune hike, learning about desert ecology and wildlife, or slow things down with a hands-on nature journaling program focused on observation and creativity.
All programs are open to the public and are included with standard park entrance fees: $5 per vehicle registered in Nevada and $10 per vehicle registered out-of-state. No event registration is required unless otherwise stated. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and bring plenty of water.
