Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies were in a pursuit Tuesday evening with a white Saturn that failed to yield in a traffic stop. The suspects later jumped out of a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot on Retail Drive and fled on foot with at least one, or possibly all three suspects entering the store with two exiting, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.
The driver is in custody while two others remain at large.
The pursuit began at around 6:40 p.m. in the area of Roop and College Parkway, going southbound then onto Stewart Street, Carson, Fairview, and then to Retail Drive before the suspects jumped out of the vehicle at Walmart. At least one of the three suspects in the vehicle went into the store.
The driver of the Saturn is in custody while two others took off running outside of the store, said Sheriff Ken Furlong, adding that deputies are actively searching for the remaining two suspects, male and female.
Sheriff Furlong said it is unknown at this time if one or all three suspects entered into the store. The suspect arrested allegedly had a gun, the sheriff said. Deputies are reviewing video from the store.
