A crash early Tuesday morning on southbound U.S. 395 north of Reno that involved as many as 17 to 20 vehicles is was cleared from the freeway with traffic flow patterns to resume soon, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 3 a.m. between Golden Valley Drive and Panther Drive and closed both lanes of the highway. At least one person suffered serious injuries. A NHP patrol vehicle was involved, with the officer outside of the vehicle at the time of the crash, according to NHP.
As of 6:55 a.m. NHP says it expects to open, soon, the southbound lane.
