Carson City Health and Human Services reports 49 new COVID-19 cases and 158 recoveries in the Quad County area from Saturday, March 6 to Monday, March 8, 2021. No new deaths were reported.

There were 12 new cases and 54 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brought the total number of cases to 11,352, with 9,345 recoveries and 209 deaths; 1,798 cases remained active.
Sunday (3/7/2021)
There were 16 new cases and 48 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brought the total number of cases to 11,362, with 9,405 recoveries and 209 deaths; 1,748 cases remained active.
Monday (3/8/2021)
Today we are reporting reporting 21 new cases and 56 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region.
The weekend numbers and today’s numbers bring the total number of cases to 11,383, with 9,461 recoveries and 209 deaths; 1,713 cases remain active.

COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility, New Group
Starting March 10, 2021, the agriculture and food processing group will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the Quad-County Region. Individuals within this group who work in the Quad County region can schedule an appointment now for an event on or after March 10, 2020.

CCHHS will continue to vaccinate those previously identified as eligible based on employment as well as those eligible in the General Population Lane, which is Quad-County residents ages 65 and older. Vaccinations are by appointment only. Proof of employment such as a badge or pay stub will be required at the time of the appointment (if eligible based on employment). Those who are eligible based on employment are to be vaccinated by jurisdiction they work in.
Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing for Quad-County Residents
Testing is for Quad-County (Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey County) residents ONLY, all others will be turned away. Events may be canceled 48 hours in advance if inclement weather is expected. Testing is free of charge, no appointments or reservations. Upcoming events are:

— March 12, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Carson City Corporate Yard (549 Airport Rd, Carson City)
