The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has identified the two women found dead in their home on February 28th, 2026. The women are identified as Andrea De Stories (DOB: February 14th, 1966) and Kitty Brown (DOB: May 17th, 1926).

The preliminary investigation revealed that Ms. Brown had extensive medical issues and was being cared for by her daughter, Ms. De Stories.

Ms. Brown’s body had no signs of trauma, and the medical cause of death is still under investigation. The circumstances surrounding Ms. De Stories death are suggestive of suicide.

Both women were sent to the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office for examination and determination on official cause of death.

Foul play is not suspected, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
