Carson City area casinos pulled in solid gaming revenue numbers for the first month of the year, seeing a 3.8 percent increase over January 2014 figures, the Nevada Gaming Control Board said Friday.
Casinos in Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and other areas of the Douglas County except Stateline, had gaming revenues, also known as “win” that amounted to $7,544,068 in January.
Statwide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $952,704,123 for the month, a 7.75 percent increase compared to January 2014.
On the flip side to Carson City’s gain, was a decrease of 3.80 percent for casinos in the Stateline area of Lake Tahoe. For the month, the south shore casinos reported gaming revenue of $14,139,520. In January 2014 the revenues were $14,698,597
Making revenue gains was the north shore Lake Tahoe casinos, with a revenue increase of 25.79 percent over January 2014 figures.
Elsewhere in Washoe County, Reno gaming revenue was up 14.20 percent, Sparks, 3.89 percent.
