The Carson City School District and Bordewich Bray Elementary School are proud to recognize Market St. Walmart as its February Community Partner of the Month. Market St. Walmart was recognized as a Champion Level partner for their ongoing commitment to supporting local schools and for their generous in-kind contributions to enhance the educational and cultural experiences for students in Carson City.

Market St. Walmart is considered a Community Partner at the Champion Level because its support aligns with three Strategic Plan goals.

Goal 1:

Market St. Walmart’s generous supply donations provide teachers at Bordewich Bray Elementary with essential classroom resources that support effective instruction, professional growth and the implementation of engaging curriculum strategies. These contributions directly enhance teacher capacity and morale, helping staff excel in their roles.

Goal 4:

To assist with the positive rewards system PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), Market St. Walmart regularly donates items as incentives for students to make positive choices.

Goal 5:

Market St. Walmart exemplifies the spirit of partnership envisioned in the district’s strategic plan. Their continued investment of time, resources and expertise strengthens school-community collaboration and demonstrates what it means to actively connect students with real-world learning support.

As part of its Community Partner Program, the school district features a local business, organization or individual each month for their commitment to helping schools and children have better opportunities and experiences in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan goals.

The Community Partner Recognition System aims to build a stronger, more engaged community dedicated to the success and well-being of its students. Additionally, it acknowledges and celebrates the valuable contributions of our community partners as they align with the goals found in the Carson City School District Strategic Plan, Empower Carson City 2027.
