The Carson Aquatic Facility located at 841 N. Roop Street, Carson City, will be temporarily closed from Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 27, to install replacement filtration equipment.
All areas of the Carson Aquatic Facility will be closed, including the fitness center, locker rooms, and showers as the main water will be shut down during the maintenance closure.
The Carson Aquatic Facility filtration equipment has exceeded its lifespan and is in need of replacement. This update to a vital pool asset will increase water quality, prolong facility usefulness, and decrease annual costs. Carson City is striving to repair and replace major infrastructure needs citywide, thus prolonging the useful life of important community resources for the long term.
The front desk will remain open Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during repairs to facilitate registration for any parks and recreation programs. An alternate location for registration is the MAC at 1860 Russell Way, Carson City, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please contact Mike Freeman for any questions or for more information.
