The Carson Victory Rollers are proud to announce that Tabatha Hughes aka “Stone Cold Stunner,” has been selected to play with Team Korea at the Roller Derby World Cup in Innsbruck, Austria, marking a significant achievement for both Hughes and the roller derby community in Carson City.
“Stunner,” a dedicated and passionate member of the Carson Victory Rollers, has demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout her career. Her commitment to the sport and relentless work ethic have earned her this prestigious opportunity to represent Team Korea on an international stage.
“I am honored to be selected for Team Korea,” said Hughes. “This has been a goal of mine since I started playing derby, and I am so excited to go to Austria to play with and against some of the best athletes in this sport. I’m immensely grateful for the support of my CVR teammates and the roller derby community as a whole.”

The Carson Victory Rollers have been a staple in the community since 2012, fostering talent and promoting the sport in the region. Hughes’ selection serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes and highlights the caliber of talent within the team.
As she embarks on this new journey, Hughes will focus on rigorous training, competing in preparation for upcoming events, and representing her team and community with pride. She will also be skating with the Carson Victory Rollers at the USA Roller Sports National Tournament this July, hosted this year in Reno.
