Local Rotarians will get an insiders look at the upcoming Lake Tahoe Documentary Film Festival. Festival Executive Director Michelle Ficara will be the guest speaker at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting which takes place Tuesday, Feb. 10, at noon, in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.

The public is invited to attend. The festival takes place April 17-19 in South Lake Tahoe. Ficara will explain the festival’s mission and the positive impact it has on the Lake Tahoe and surrounding communities.

“Our goal is to foster connection, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the world through documentary films,” she says. “We can do that by entertaining, enlightening, and inspiring audiences with remarkable storytelling.”

Ficara is looking forward to the festival’s second year.

“The excitement is building for this year’s festival. Attendees can expect powerful documentary screenings, filmmaker conversations, and community gatherings,” she said.

The Rotary presentation will also highlight meaningful ways to get involved and support the festival’s continued growth.
