2019 Carson City’s Empty Bowls event was a success! This event would have never been possible without our local restaurants’ donations of several gallons of soup. This year was our first year awarding the best, most popular soup served. It was a very difficult decision to make as all of the soups were phenomenal, but here are our top three winners!
Eric Bevans, from Dr. Smash Design, Carson City is one of the top 3 winners! Eric made his famous Biscuits & Gravy that many of our ticket holders talked about throughout the night.
The next winner is Pete Coscarart from Villa Basque Deli & Cafe, Carson City. Pete and his team made the most delicious Chorizo Spaghetti that was a hit at the event.
Finally, Roberta Davies from Bleu Café, Carson City. Roberta and Jonni Musulin made an amazing Italian Tomato Bisque that everyone really enjoyed.
These 3 restaurants are among 17 other local restaurants that donated a dish to help us raise money to help feed the hungry in our Carson City community. We greatly appreciate all of the local restaurants that made our event possible with your donations. During the 2020 Empty Bowls event, we will be choosing the top three winners again. So, for all of you local restaurant owners and chefs out there start preparing to WIN in 2020!
