The Carson City Photo Club has announced the winning photos in its January photo competition. With the theme “Bokeh” or in photography, the aesthetic quality of blur produced in out-of-focus parts of an image the top four photos are:

First Place: “Empress Hayley” Anke Simpson
Second Place: “Woven Jewels” Cindy Murphy
Second Place: “Droplets” MaryLou Schindler
Third Place: “Freezing Fog” Rick Pott

The Carson City Photo Club meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month (except December) at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office (use west entrance). The Sheriff’s office is limiting our attendance to 25 people so if you would like to attend please RSVP to Jessi Brendel at jrb.images@yahoo.com.

At this time we are requiring everyone to wear a mask. The theme for our monthly photo contest in February is “Weather.”
