Looking for a unique way to treat your Valentine this year? Join us on the Virginia Truckee Railroad on Saturday, Feb. 15 and immerse yourself in solving a Murder Mystery with the Fun Time Players at 2:30 or 4:30 p.m. or choose our 6:30 p.m. train featuring the music of Northern Nevada’s own Carson Chandler.

Murder Mystery fans will be presented with a mystery full of intrigue and plenty of drama (and a few laughs) as we travel through the historic Comstock Mining district to Gold Hill. This one-of-a-kind experience will transport you back to the golden age of train travel.

As you settle into your seat, a world of mystery unfolds. A crime has been committed, and it’s up to you to play detective. Engage with a colorful cast of characters, each with their own motives and secrets, as you enjoy delicious appetizers and wine or beer. Chocolate dipped strawberries and roses for the ladies and other treats will be served as passengers work to figure out the identity of the Villain. Prizes will be awarded for the best and worst guesses.

Carson Chandler, a 23-year-old upcoming country artist and Virginia City favorite, will be serenading passengers on the 6:30 pm train with music ranging from George Strait and Waylon Jennings to newer tunes from the likes of Cody Johnson and Josh Turner. Carson has built a strong genre of music that is sure to create a memorable experience for all music lovers. The event includes roses for the ladies as well as other delicious appetizers. Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available on both trains.

No matter what you choose, your Valentine is sure to be impressed! Don’t wait too long to decide as these are sure to sell out.  And while you are thinking about unique events to break the winter blues, add the Virginia Truckee Railroads’ St. Patrick’s Day Murder Mystery train to your list. The fun starts March 15, at 2:30 or 4:30 PM. Tickets will go on sale soon.
